Holidays are like ordinary days, especially now because of the pandemic that's happening. But that didn’t stop me from going out, but I made sure to follow the proper protocols.
During December 13, I spent my whole afternoon till midnight with my cousin. We decided to sit the whole night in the grass corner on Plaza Burgos. We decided to catch up because of months of not seeing each other because of some conflict.
Most of my afternoon’s, I spend time with my cousins who live one house away. I always play with my cousin, Jussef and sometimes I watch over my niece, Bree. But even before the Christmas break, it was already my routine to go to their house every afternoon because there’s nothing to do in our house.
One night, my cousin and I decided that we would attend “Misa de Aguinaldo”, and on the first day, we went to the church riding our bikes. On the second day, my cousin decided that we will not go because he hasn’t slept yet, but I wanted to complete the misa because they said that your wish will come true. That’s why I went all by myself riding my bike. I couldn’t go inside because I was worried that my bike would get stolen, so I decided to just attend the mass outside. That was my whole routine from December 16 - 24.
During December 18, Erika, who lives in Raois, invited us to their home to eat dinner because it was their Fiesta. Only Yael, Andrea, Bradley and me went there because Kuku’s dog was dying and she wanted to take care of her pet. Andrea, who has a strict father, usually goes home at around 8 - 9 in the evening, but that day she went home around almost 11 pm because she had no choice but to wait for us. Thankfully when she arrived home, her father didn’t scold her.
A day before Christmas, I decided to dye my hair red, because it was the only color that will have an effect on black hair. After dying, I spent the night with Kuku because she was a little sad because her family doesn’t usually celebrate.

For many years now, I've been spending my Christmas with my cousins family. But gladly, last Christmas, mama woke up before midnight.
On the 27th, my Tita decided to invite me because they are going to Robinsons, Ilocos Norte. We spent the whole afternoon trying to find something to buy, but we ended up buying the things that my niece needed. Shopping really isn’t that fun when you aren’t rich. Before we went back to Vigan, we went to Paoay Church, and we watched their Northern Lights inspired show. It was a tiring day, but I had fun because after many years, we finally went out of town.
On the 28th, my cousin invited me out again. We thought that the day would end with just us talking with each other again, but around 9 in the evening we decided to invite our common friend, Chareena, she gladly accepted our offer. We decided to go to Chareena’s house, but as we were going there, Roem’s tire went flat, but thankfully a vulcanizing shop was still open. We decided to go home around 12 am because it was already getting late.
On New Year’s day, my friends decided that we would meet up after our celebration. But only Yahna, Roem, Chareena and I were the ones who met up. We decided to stay in Chareena’s house, we decided to wait for the sunrise, but around 5 am Roem’s parents were already calling him, so we decided to go home.
Nothing much happened during the holidays, but I’m glad I got to spend time with my family and friends before going back to online classes.
